Christmas Cards

Australian Rotary Health is very grateful for the support given by Rotary Clubs to the annual Christmas Card fundraising activity organised by the Rotary Club of Waverley. This project has been in operation for twelve years and has raised in excess of half a million dollars for Australian Rotary Health.

Goodwill Card Shop in Scots Church, Sydney

For the third year Santa’s helpers in the Rotary Club of Epping led by PDG Monica Saville will be selling Australian Rotary Health Christmas cards through the Goodwill Charity Card Shop in the Sydney CBD.

Each year the cards are produced by the Rotary Club of Waverley in Victoria. In the past 16 years, the sale of cards across Australia has resulted in more than $700,000 being donated to Australian Rotary Health.

In 2011 the Card Shop will operate in Scot’s Church, 44 Margaret Street (cnr. Margaret and York Streets) in Sydney from 9.30am until 4.00pm from Monday to Friday commencing on 10 October until 16 December 2011. The 2011 range of cards can be viewed on the Card Shop website www.goodwillcharitycards.org.au.  Order forms can be down loaded from the website and cards will be posted out promptly. Of course the cards are always available directly from the Rotary Club of Waverley.

Epping Rotarians, their partners and friends of Epping Rotary volunteer to assist in the shop during the sales period. In 2010 the sales of Christmas cards resulted in $5,000 being donated to Australian Rotary Health by the Rotary Club of Epping.

In recognition of their assistance in selling the 2010 cards, the following were recognised by the Club as Bronze Friends of Australian Rotary Health: Margot Simons, Joan Stewart, Geoff Saville, Vivienne Corney, Liz Grey, John Fenessy, Sue O’Brien, John Fry, Virender Kamboj and Betty Ockerlander.
